Terms of Service

Last updated: March 28, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Edu Pilot ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of a minor, you represent that you are the child's parent or legal guardian and accept these terms on their behalf.

2. Description of Service

Edu Pilot is an AI-powered educational platform designed for students across Southeast Asian curricula (MOE Singapore, KSSM Malaysia, Cambridge IGCSE, and International Baccalaureate). The Service provides adaptive quizzes, oral practice, AI tutoring, composition grading, and learning analytics. The Service is intended to supplement, not replace, formal education.

3. User Accounts

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create a parent account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • Child profiles must be created by a parent or legal guardian.
  • You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
  • You agree to provide accurate and complete information during registration.

4. Subscription Plans and Payments

Edu Pilot offers tiered subscription plans (Starter, Plus, and Premium) with varying features and limits. By subscribing to a paid plan:

  • You authorize us to charge the applicable subscription fee through our payment processor (Stripe).
  • Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled.
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact us for refund requests.
  • We reserve the right to modify pricing with 30 days' advance notice.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its systems.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers connected to the Service.
  • Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the Service without permission.
  • Share your account credentials with third parties or allow multiple users to share a single account.
  • Reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit any content from the Service without authorization.

6. AI-Generated Content

Edu Pilot uses artificial intelligence to generate quiz questions, provide tutoring responses, grade compositions, and create learning recommendations. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may occasionally contain errors. The Service is designed as a learning aid and should not be the sole basis for academic assessment. Parents and educators should review AI-generated feedback in the context of the child's overall learning journey.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of Edu Pilot (including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, software, and AI models) are owned by Edu Pilot and are protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of content you submit (e.g., compositions, chat messages), but grant us a license to process it for providing the Service.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Edu Pilot shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim. The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We may retain certain data as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation, and if necessary, through the courts of Singapore.

11. Changes to Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time by posting the updated version on our platform. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification at least 14 days before taking effect. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
